The TCS London Marathon is one of the world’s most well known long-distance races. Bringing together runners for an unforgettable 26.2-mile journey through London’s most iconic landmarks, from Tower Bridge to Buckingham Palace, finishing in triumph on The Mall.

This event has grown into a globally recognised event, attracting elite athletes, charity champions, and thousands of supporters lining the streets, it’s a thrilling, must-run event!

If you would like to join #TeamMND and secure a charity place for the 2026 TCS London Marathon you will need to complete the application form below by Sunday 1 June 2025.

e only have a limited number of places available, and we will be in touch to let you know if you’ve been successful by the end of June 2025.

Looking to join with your own place

Have you entered the public ballot? If you are successful, please check back after the results have been announced to join #TeamMND with your own place. 

Have you already been offered a good for age entry in the 2026 London Marathon? Let us know if you'd like to join #TeamMND!

Assisted Places

Unfortunately, due to the event organiser's restriction on the limit of wheelchairs allowed on the course, we are unable to allocate our charity places to participants in wheelchairs who require assistance. However, you can apply in the ballot for assisted places which will open in the summer (date to be confirmed).

When you join #TeamMND, you'll receive:

  • A free #TeamMND tshirt or running vest
  • A fundraising pack with everything you need to get started
  • Regular emails with support, updates and fundraising tips
  • Access to our Training Hub App to help you get race day ready
  • An invite to our post race reception at the finish line
  • A feeling of awesomeness knowing you've helped in the fight against MND

I have my own place through the ballot, can I still join #TeamMND?

Yes you can join #TeamMND with your own place! Please check back later after the ballot results have been annouced. You will then be able to click the button which says 'I have my own place' and fill in the form.

All participants in the TCS London Marathon must be aged 18 or older on Marathon Day.

Are you interested in volunteering for the London Marathon 2026? We would love for you to be part of this incredible event! As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to experience the excitement of race day up close, soak in the inspiring atmosphere, and play a crucial role in supporting our amazing runners.

£700

could fund a seat riser, allowing someone with MND to raise their wheelchair so that they can reach shelves and talk to someone at eye level.

£1,250

could fund an online education masterclass providing 40 health and social care professionals with the tools and knowledge to manage the complex needs of people with MND more effectively.

£2,250

could provide a text to speech device, to give someone with MND the ability to continue to communicate with their loved ones.
