Move for 30 minutes everyday in March

Join our challenge to complete 30 minutes of exercise everyday throughout March.

Challenge yourself

This March, take on the challenge of moving for 30 minutes every day to help fight motor neurone disease (MND). Whether it’s walking, dancing, cycling, stretching or something else, your efforts will raise essential funds to provide care and support for families affected by MND and to fund life-changing research aimed at finding a cure.

Join our #TeamMND Facebook group, set up your fundraiser, and we'll send you a #TeamMND tshirt to get you started! And if you raise over £150, you can claim your very own challenge medal!

add remove

To join the challenge with Facebook and create your Facebook fundraiser, join our Move for 30 minutes in March Facebook Group.

If you don't have Facebook that's not a problem. You can register for your tshirt here, and then will be taken to set up a JustGiving page.

I don't think I can do 30 minutes, can i adapt the challenge?

add remove
We understand 30 minutes a day is a big commitment for some, but we are happy for you to adapt the challenge to suit you.

I am a wheelchair user, can I take part?

add remove
Yes, of course. We want the challenge to be an inclusive event. You could do some stretches, go for a roll or follow a seated aerobics video. Feel free to adapt the challenge to meet your needs.

How do I know what size tshirt to order?

Please check out our size guide below before choosing your size. You'll also find it linked on the registration form.

Unfortunately, we cannot send out a new top should yours not fit due to the extra costs incured.

Do I have to pay?

The challenge is free to take part in. We hope people will take part and raise money to support families affected by MND.

When is the registration deadline?

The challenge starts on Saturday 1 March 2025 and runs until Monday 31 March 2025. We recommend participants join as soon as possible, but you'll be able to join the challenge anytime, even after it starts.

After registering

How can I share my challenge progress and encourage donations?

add remove
Share videos, pictures, and posts to your Facebook or personal fundraising page and on your social media pages. For friends and family who aren't on Facebook, be sure to email and WhatsApp too!

We'll be sharing lots of tips and advice in the Facebook Group, so join if you haven't already. There are also resources available on our Fundraising Zone  to help you raise more awareness and sponsorship for your challenge.

Some of my friends don't have Facebook. Can they donate?

add remove
Yes, although they can’t donate to your Facebook fundraiser, they can donate to the personal fundraising page we set up for you. This will show all of your donations in one place. If you’re not sure where to find it, email us or contact us in messenger.

Do Facebook charge a fee?

add remove
Like many other fundraising platforms, Facebook do charge a small fee to use their service which allows fundraising challenges like this to be easily created and shared to support the fight against MND. Meta charge a 1.4% + GBP 0.30 processing fee. All donations are greatly appreciated and will go directly to MND Association.

Can I use JustGiving or a sponsor form instead of a Facebook fundraising page?

add remove
Sure! If you'd prefer to use another platform or good old fashioned sponsor forms, that's absolutely fine. You can download a sponsor form or set up a JustGiving page.

Can the money I raise go towards a Tribute Fund or Fightback Fund?

add remove
Yes, if you'd like the money you raise to be recorded in a loved ones tribute or fightback fund that's not a problem. Email fundraising@mndassociation.org with your details, the name of the Fund and a link to your fundraising page and the team will organise that for you.

How much money do I have to raise?

add remove
There is no minimum sponsorship target to take part in the challenge. Every penny counts. The more money you can raise, the more support we can provide for people living with MND today. Find out more about how the money you raise makes a difference.

If you raise over £150, you can claim your special #TeamMND medal!

Where does my sponsorship money go?

add remove
All of the money donated on your Facebook fundraiser, personal fundraising page or JustGiving page will come straight to the MND Association which means you don't have to worry about transferring any money or handling any cash. Once we receive the funds we turn it into care and support for families affected by MND and fund vital research to better understand MND, develop treatments and one day find a cure.
