Before registering

How do I register / when is the deadline to register?

Registrations open on Tuesday 18 November, from then you can register for the challenge on the buttons above - this is where you can order your FREE winter tech t-shirt too!

The challenge starts on Thursday 1 January 2026 and runs until Saturday 31 January 2026. We recommend participants join as soon as possible. Register by 16 December to get your top in time before the challenge starts! Registrations for the challenge will be open up until 7 January.

I don't think I can run 31 miles in January, can I adapt the challenge?

Absolutely, we are happy for you to adapt the challenge to suit you - this could be walking, cycling or doing the challenge over more days.

Is their an age limit?

To sign up for this challenge and join the Facebook group you need to be aged 18 or over. If your children would like to take part we'd ask that a parent/guardian registers on their behalf, using their own name and contact details. 

After registering

Can I use JustGiving?

When you register you'll be set up with an MND Fundraiser page, where you can get donations and log your miles all in one place. However, if you'd prefer to use JustGiving page, you can set one up for the event here.

I haven't received my challenge winter tech t-shirt yet.

We'll aim to send all packs within 10 days of registration. Please be patient with us as we're a small team. If you haven't received yours within 14 days please email fundraising@mndassociation.org.

Where/how do I log my miles?

You can log your via your MND Association fundraising page that's set up for you when you register (check your emails for the link!).

To log your miles, follow these steps:

1️⃣. Click the 'Log in' button to the top right of your MND Fundraiser page
2️⃣. You'll then be asked to log in via Facebook or email
3️⃣. If you choose email, you'll then receive a log in link via email.

Now that you're logged in, you'll be able to log your miles by clicking the 'Activity' button. Best of luck! 🧡💙

Can the money I raise go towards a Tribute Fund or Fightback Fund?

Yes, if you'd like the money you raise to be recorded in a loved ones tribute or fightback fund that's not a problem. Email fundraising@mndassociation.org with your details, the name of the Fund and a link to your fundraising page and the team will organise that for you.

How much money do I have to raise?

There is no minimum sponsorship target to take part in the challenge. Every penny counts. The more money you can raise, the more support we can provide for people living with MND today. Find out more about how the money you raise makes a difference.

Where does my sponsorship money go?

All of the money donated on your MND Association fundraising page, Facebook fundraiser or JustGiving will come straight to the MND Association which means you don't have to worry about transferring any money or handling any cash. Once we receive the funds we turn it into care and support for families affected by MND and fund vital research to better understand MND, develop treatments and one day find a cure.
