Before registering

How do I register?

Registrations open on Thursday 18 September, from then you can register for the challenge here . Once you set up your fundraising page and get your first donation, we'll then send you your FREE challenge t-shirt and stickers.

I don't think I can game for 80 hours in November, can I adapt the challenge?

Absolutely, we are happy for you to adapt the challenge. Whether that's a few hours each week instead, or just a couple of game-a-thons with your friends - it's whatever suits you best!

Do I have to pay?

The challenge is free to take part in. We hope people will take part and raise money to support families affected by MND.

When is the registration deadline?

The challenge starts on Saturday 1 November 2025 and runs until Sunday 30 November 2025. We recommend participants join as soon as possible, but you'll be able to join the challenge up until 17 November 2025.

Is there an age limit?

To sign up for this challenge and join the Facebook group you need to be aged 18 or over. If your children would like to take part we'd ask that a parent/guardian registers on their behalf, using their own name and contact details. We'd be happy to send our young fundraisers a certificate, in their name, to acknowledge their brilliant efforts when the challenge is completed. Just email fundraising@mndassociation.org with their details.

How can I share my challenge progress and encourage donations?

Share videos, pictures, and posts to your Facebook or personal fundraising page and on your social media pages. For friends and family who aren't on Facebook, be sure to email and WhatsApp too!

There are also resources available on our Fundraising Zone to help you raise more awareness and sponsorship for your challenge.

Can I use a different fundraising platform or a sponsor form instead of what you've suggested?

Sure! If you'd prefer to use another platform or good old fashioned sponsor forms, that's absolutely fine. You can visit the Game Over MND challenge's digital fundraising pack for tips, download a sponsor form here or set up a JustGiving page.

Can the money I raise go towards a Tribute Fund or Fightback Fund?

Yes, if you'd like the money you raise to be recorded in a loved ones tribute or fightback fund that's not a problem. Email fundraising@mndassociation.org with your details, the name of the Fund and a link to your fundraising page and the team will organise that for you.

I haven't received my challenge t-shirt and stickers yet.

Once you've received your first donation for the challenge, we'll aim to send your pack within 10 days. Please be patient with us as we're a small team. If you haven't received yours within 14 days please email fundraising@mndassociation.org.

How much money do I have to raise?

There is no minimum sponsorship target to take part in the challenge. Every penny counts. The more money you can raise, the more support we can provide for people living with MND today. Find out more about how the money you raise makes a difference.

How could I get more people to donate to my challenge?

We'll be sharing lots of tips and advice along the way, so make sure to keep a lookout. There are also resources available on our Fundraising Zone  to help you raise more awareness and sponsorship for your challenge. Our biggest top tip is to keep friends and family updated with your challenge progress by regularly updating your fundraising page.

Where does my sponsorship money go?

All of the money donated on your MND Association fundraising page, Facebook fundraiser or JustGiving will come straight to the MND Association which means you don't have to worry about transferring any money or handling any cash. Once we receive the funds we turn it into care and support for families affected by MND and fund vital research to better understand MND, develop treatments and one day find a cure.
