MND Association patron Rob Burrow CBE sadly died on 2 June 2024, four and a half years after he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease.
Throughout that time, Rob and his family bravely chose to publicly share their MND journey to raise awareness of the disease. All of us at the Association are incredibly grateful for everything they have done.
This event was created in honour of Rob and will continue to honour his memory – and by being part of this incredible event you will be helping to ensure Rob’s legacy lives on and will support the 5000 people living with MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland right now.
Places are also available in the Leeds Half Marathon, happening on the same day.

Can I take part if i'm under 18?

When will I receive my t-shirt or running vest?
We’re currently updating our fundraising materials. If you requested a t-shirt or running vest when you registered, you’ll receive one of our newly designed items in early February. Don’t worry — it will arrive in plenty of time for your training and event!
How do i enter the prize draw for a runners need voucher?
Thanks to our friends at JustGiving, we’re giving our incredible Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2026 runners the chance to win a £200 Runner’s Need voucher – perfect for getting kitted out for your marathon training.
Show your page some love! Any Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2026 runner who receives their first donation on their JustGiving page by 14 February 2026 will be entered into the prize draw and a winner will be selected at random.
JustGiving will randomly select a winner, and we’ll be in touch on Monday 16th February to let the lucky runner know they’ve won! You can view the full terms and conditions of the prize draw here.
